Sangerfest 2011
The culmination of two years' planning, Skagit Valley Mannskor hosted the 102nd Annual PCNSA Sangerfest in Mt. Vernon, WA on July 8, 2011. Over 200 registrants attended the convention with 115 singers performing in it's Grand Concert at McIntyre Hall. Singers represented choruses from California (San Diego, San Francisco & Oakland), Oregon (Eugene and Salem), Washington (Tacoma, Seattle, Poulsbo, Everett, Skagit & Bellingham) plus one singer who traveled from Sweden.
The Grand Concert featured a mixture of 15 pieces of Norwegian and English music, accompanied by the Buckingham Family Ensemble. Members of the audience were invited to participate in a sing-along in both English and Norwegian.
